We are seeking an experienced General Foreman to join our team on a major National Grid infrastructure project in the South West of Wales. This is a key site-based role, responsible for supervising works, coordinating teams, and ensuring the project is delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day supervision of site activities and workforce
- Managing subcontractors and direct labour
- Ensuring works are carried out in line with drawings, specifications, and programmes
- Enforcing health, safety, environmental, and quality standards (SHEQ)
- Coordinating plant, materials, and resources
- Liaising with Site Managers, Engineers, and client representatives
- Completing site records, permits, and progress reports
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and site discipline
Requirements
- Proven experience as a General Foreman or Senior Supervisor on civil engineering or utilities projects
- Experience working on National Grid or similar high-voltage / utility infrastructure projects (highly desirable)
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Good understanding of construction programmes and method statements
- Ability to manage multiple work fronts and teams

- SMSTS or SSSTS
- CSCS Card (Gold or Black preferred)
- First Aid at Work
- National Grid Competency (or willingness to obtain)
