We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Insulator to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing insulation systems across various projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, contributing to the safety and energy efficiency of building structures. Prior experience in construction-related trades is highly desirable, and a strong understanding of relevant tools and techniques is essential.
Duties
- Install insulation materials in walls, ceilings, pipes, and other building components according to project specifications.
- Measure and cut insulation materials with precision using hand tools and power tools.
- Ensure all insulation work complies with safety standards and building codes.
- Assist with related tasks such as roofing, plastering, masonry, or carpentry as required.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings to determine installation requirements.
- Collaborate with other trades such as plumbing, electrical, or roofing & Solar teams to ensure seamless project progression.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Inspect completed work for quality assurance and make adjustments as necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction trades including roofing, plumbing, welding, electrical work, or related fields.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding, and fabrication equipment.
- Knowledge of schematics, construction painting techniques, masonry work, and carpentry is advantageous.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols within construction environments.
- Physical fitness to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy materials and working at heights.
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in construction trades are preferred but not mandatory.
Qualifications
- Minimum NVQ Level 2 Retrofit.
- Preferred NVQ Level 3 Retrofit.
