Renewable Parts is a growing and innovative supply chain partner in the wind energy sector. We offer services including supply chain management, refurbishment, and technical services, as well as supply of parts and consumables. Renewable Parts currently works with leading wind farm owners and operators including RWE Renewables, SSE Renewables and ScottishPower Renewables.

The role

We are recruiting a permanent Workshop Technician to be based in our Lochgilphead Refurbishment Centre. The workshop technician will be involved in the overall running of day‑to‑day refurbishments within the workshop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Duty of Care for own health and safety and that of others affected by their actions at work.
  • Oversight of maintenance of workshop and equipment.
  • Quality control on finished refurbished components.
  • Problem solving and fault diagnosis with incoming components.
  • Record keeping including health and safety, risk assessments and fire precautions.
  • Leading by example.
  • Liaising with warehouse in Renfrew for goods incoming/outgoing.
  • Ensuring adherence to the quality management system.
  • Supporting coaching of assistants and apprentices in workshop.
  • Drive to encourage continuous improvement.

Key Requirements

  • Good knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems.
  • Extensive experience in a workshop environment.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a small team based at the Refurbishment Centre in Lochgilphead.
  • A self‑motivated and can‑do attitude.
  • Experience of leading a team.
