The role

As a fast growth business, focused on delivering high quality service solutions, we are recruiting for a permanent Workshop Technician to be based in our Lochgilphead Refurbishment Centre site.

The Workshop technician will be involved in the overall running of day to day refurbishments within workshop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Duty of Care for own Health and Safety and that of others affected by their actions at work.
  • Oversight of maintenance of workshop and equipment
  • Quality control on finished refurbished components.
  • Problem solving and fault diagnosis with incoming components
  • Record keeping including health and safety, risk assessments and fire precautions.
  • Leading by example
  • Liaising with warehouse in Renfrew for goods incoming/outgoing
  • Ensuring adherence to the quality management system
  • Supporting the coaching of assistants and apprentices in workshop
  • Drive to encourage continuous improvement.
  • Key Requirements
  • Good knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems
  • Extensive experience in a workshop environment
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a small team based at the Refurbishment Centre in Lochgilphead.
  • A self-motivated and can-do attitude.
  • Experience of leading a team
