The PositionThis position will be responsible for supporting the Northern Europe Asset Management business within commercial asset management. Commercial Asset Management is the focus on protecting clients, and their investors', interests by maximising projects net asset value. Enforcing contractual rights, optimising value from the supply chain, tendering and procurement of new agreements, identifying opportunities, and commercial considerations to enhance operations of assets, with the overall goal to increase value (not necessarily export). Duties will include owner interaction, contract management, supporting complex insurance claims, using and creating tools for the analysis of projects, forecasting performance of assets, and managing continuous improvement. The duties with this role will suit a team player who is flexible and initiative, and able to help implement new systems of working. This position may include travel a couple of times a year within Northern Europe. Supporting the Northern Europe asset management business to increase the net asset value of renewable energy assets, which may include Wind, Solar and Energy Storage;Provide high quality management of on-going contracts with our existing suppliers, consultants, and sub-contractors; Managing a portfolio of renewable energy project contracts through the contract lifecycle;Leading on both small value and high value tenders for new services and renewals, including contract negotiations on a variety of different operational contracts, reviewing and drafts of terms, and liaising with clients and their respective legal teams; Reviewing performance of contracts, including supplier performance calculations and calculations of bonus or liquidated damages;Working alongside key stakeholders to resolve commercial issues, including KPIs (including contractual liquidated damages and bonus payments), attending supplier meetings to discuss performance;Managing insurance claims, warranty claims and contractual disputes within assigned client portfolios, escalating significant or complex matters to the Senior Commercial Contract Manager as appropriate; Responsible for the day-to-day commercial management of contracts within assigned client portfolios, attending client meetings as required, reporting on contract status, and providing contract and commercial advice to Asset Managers and other stakeholders;Reviewing of contractual terms to support and advise asset managers on specific queries, including upgrades, performance, insurance claims, PPA obligations, AMA scope and other adhoc topics;Review of physical defects and performance against contract warranties. Supporting the integration and adoption of new projects to ensure they are 'Operations Ready'. Capturing lessons learnt and participate in and support Asset Management Department 'Continuous Improvement' activity; andAttending internal and external supplier and client meetings, preparing meeting notes, action logs and updating relevant project documentation as required; Identifying commercial risks and opportunities within assigned portfolios and providing recommendations to the Senior Commercial Contract Manager and Asset Management team; Supporting the delivery of commercial asset management services in accordance with departmental procedures, governance requirements and agreed client obligations. A keen attention to detail, specifically when dealing with technical and legal documentation. Strong and proven stakeholder relationship skillsStrong commercial problem-solving skillsAbility to identify and summarise key contractual provisions. ExperienceQualificationsPrevious commercial and contract management experience preferableExperience in construction, asset management or Renewables preferableExperience in managing O&M contracts, PPAs, Construction and or major component supply contractsManaging and resolving disputes between parties.
