The Team RES Offshore provides O&M services to offshore windfarms and assets, including offshore transmission, foundations, subsea cables, meteorological masts, and wind turbines. Services consist of routine planned maintenance activities, remedial and reactive works.
The role of a Turbine O&M Site Supervisor involves leading and executing the delivery of planned and unplanned O&M services, providing technical expertise to resolve issues and implement improvements. Candidates should have a technical background in mechanical and electrical systems, particularly in turbine disciplines, with strong analytical fault-finding capabilities on Electrical, Mechanical & Hydraulic systems. Experience with Samsung 7MW wind turbines is essential.
Key Accountabilities include:
- Leading and executing high-quality maintenance activities
- Communicating effectively both written and verbally
- Preparing Risk Assessments, Method statements, and other client-required procedures
- Maintaining a high level of Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental awareness
- Participating in an on-call rota
- Travel within the UK & Ireland as necessary
Other areas of knowledge that would be advantageous include:
- Working knowledge of gearbox inspections
- Specialised equipment such as vibration analysis, ultrasound, bore scope, and thermal imaging
- Analytical fault finding, especially electrical
- Conducting technical auditing & assessments
- Preparation of reporting templates and technical documentation
- Delivering specific in-house technical training
Knowledge Skills required:
- Good knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation
- Understanding and implementation of WTSR
- Electrical & mechanical fault-finding and analysis
- Ability to plan safe and effective remedial works
- Excellent attitude to safety
- Technical capability for evaluating complex equipment
- Capable of working offshore and at height
- Physically fit, as the role requires climbing
Experience Qualifications:
- Experience of wind turbine maintenance
- Lifting operations and large component exchange
- Experience in mechanical, electrical, power electronics, and hydraulic maintenance and troubleshooting
- An NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering, or significant relevant wind turbine experience
- GWO Training (desirable, full training will be given)
- Hold a full driving license
