Renewabl is a cutting-edge platform that revolutionises energy data management and procurement for corporate energy buyers. With over 120 sellers and suppliers, the platform facilitates access to 12 TWh+ of renewable energy supply and supports live tenders from leading corporations like RE100. Recognised with eight awards and part of six prominent accelerator programmes, Renewabl empowers businesses with precise hourly Carbon-Free Energy (CFE) scoring for data-driven procurement. Our mission is to help businesses make better energy decisions backed by reliable and actionable data. We work with some of the world’s largest energy buyers, helping them move from fragmented, manual processes to a single source of truth for their renewable energy data - and make better procurement decisions as a result. We’re scaling across the UK, Europe and APAC, and building the operational backbone that will support that growth.
The Sales Operations Coordinator is the engine room of our commercial function. Sitting at the intersection of sales, finance, legal, compliance and operations, you’ll be the person who keeps things running smoothly before, during and after every sale - and the single internal point of contact for the day-to-day operational matters that keep the business moving. This is a high-ownership, high-variety role. You won’t be slotting into an established team; you’ll be building the function as you go, with direct visibility to senior leadership and the autonomy to shape how we operate.
What you’ll do
- Business operations & internal coordination: Own the business operations function end-to-end, including process design and continuous improvement. Redesign existing workflows so they scale with the company's growth. Team event planning and execution.
- Commercial & client support: Support the commercial team across pre-sale, sale and post-sale stages. Provide monthly and ad-hoc platform support with data uploads for client demos.
- CRM ownership (HubSpot): Be our HubSpot specialist - owning data hygiene, workflow design, and automation to improve work efficiency.
- Trade support operations: Support the operational side of deals closed under 'Trade' - sending cancellation and redemption statements, communicating fee percentages to partners, issuing and paying invoices accordingly, and keeping all documents and information stored accurately for easy access and auditing. Maintain accurate records across our renewable energy registries and trading systems. Carry out the transfer or cancellation of energy certificates when and as required.
- Registries, certifications & funding: Manage our company accounts with Grexel, Ofgem and other European AIB registries - applications, renewals and day-to-day compliance. Lead our ISO certification application and ongoing compliance. Identify and apply for grants and funding opportunities.
- Legal, tax & compliance: Draft, review and maintain legal documents, including NDAs, proposals and contracts. Own, lead and carry out KYC / KYB compliance and onboarding for investors, buyers, sellers, brokers / TPIs and strategic partners. Keep our legal and compliance repository organised, version-controlled and audit-ready.
- Finance operations: Own the full invoicing process, working closely with our finance team to ensure accuracy and timely payment of invoices as per company terms. Collaborate with the accounting team on monthly close, supplier payments and reconciliations as required. Manage supplier and partner relationships, including negotiation and procurement of internal tools and systems. Negotiate and manage contract renewals and cancellations. Evaluate supplier performance and look out for more cost-efficient options when performance or delivery is not up to standard.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone proactive and ready to hit the ground running. You’ll be the sole owner of your function and work with minimal supervision, so you need to be comfortable making decisions, prioritising your own workload and taking initiative. We want someone eager to learn and willing to get their hands dirty. In a startup, priorities shift quickly - you should adapt, stay organised, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Must have:
- 3+ years of experience in business operations, sales operations, project coordination, or a similarly broad operational role - ideally at a startup or scale-up environment.
- Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail.
- A self-starter mindset and confidence working through ambiguity.
- Excellent written communication and comfort drafting professional, client-facing documents.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (HubSpot strongly preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets and a willingness to pick up new tools quickly.
Nice to have:
- Experience in the renewable energy sector, particularly in the energy procurement landscape.
- Exposure to ISO certification, grant applications, or other regulated processes.
- Experience designing and implementing workflows and working with automation systems (Zapier, Make).
Why join Renewabl:
- Join a mission-led company shaping the future of renewable energy procurement.
- Real ownership from day one, on projects that matter.
- A function to help build, not just a role to execute.
- Close collaboration with experienced senior leadership.
- Hybrid, flexible working from central London.
- Training budget, wellness allowance, and other startup benefits.
