The Role
Once trained, you will support the radio hire and workshop function, helping to ensure equipment is prepared, tested, deployed, and returned efficiently. This is a varied, operational role requiring flexibility, reliability, and a willingness to learn. Some out‑of‑hours and weekend work may be required to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities (Once Trained)
- Support stores and hire administration, including checking in returned hire equipment and booking out basic hires using an internal system
- Clean, label, and test two‑way radio equipment
- Assist with radio configuration and preparation when required
- Support onsite de‑installations alongside company drivers
- Load and unload company vans (manual handling and some heavy lifting involved)
- Prepare equipment for deployment, including cleaning and labelling radios
- Provide support for out‑of‑hours calls when required
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment
About You
