We’re looking for an experienced Lead Rotary Driller to join our team; responsible for a Comacchio rotary drilling rig, associated mud cleaning plant and ancillary site equipment. The successful candidate will have a strong track record as a lead driller and be able to demonstrate both leadership of a drilling crew, along with the ability to safely and efficiently drill and install closed loop geothermal boreholes.
The ideal candidate for the Lead Rotary Driller role will have significant experience in land drilling, including experience with rotary and geothermal drilling operations. The role will require someone that is organised and with good planning skills together with the self-structure required to work autonomously, and in a wider team. Flexibility and a willingness to travel are essential requirements for this role, as is the desire to work long shifts and often stay away from home in company-provided accommodation.
The successful candidate will need to pass drug and alcohol screening and be capable of passing both a safety critical medical, and DBS checks.
Education: NVQ Level 2 in Land Drilling
Experience and Skills:
- Demonstrable experience of drilling boreholes to depths in excess of 200m
- CSCS card, or the ability to obtain one
- Emergency First Aid at Work is preferred but not essential
- Telehandler ticket/license is preferred but not essential
- Full UK Driving license
- Effective and clear communication and interpersonal skills
