Rendesco is the UK's leading heat pump and heat network business. We design, build, fund, own and operate heat networks and heat pump systems that help to decarbonise our homes. Our unique low cost and low carbon heat solutions make it possible for new-build developers, social housing providers and homeowners to switch away from gas quickly, affordably and at scale.

We have an ambitious five year plan to become the UK's leading end-to-end low carbon heating platform - combining funded heat network ownership, market leading design and installation capability, a growing operations and maintenance business, and a proprietary technology stack including our own ground source heat pump, heat interface unit, smart controller and homeowner app. Decarbonisation should be easy, and at Rendesco, we make it effortless.

As our Commissioning Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal performance of our low-carbon heat pump systems under the supervision and guidance of our Senior Commissioning Engineer. This position demands a blend of technical understanding and meticulous quality control to ensure that every installation functions seamlessly and meets our high standards. A newly qualified electrical engineer would be the ideal candidate for this role.

Your key responsibilities will encompass a range of tasks to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of our installations including completing the final wiring and setup of heat pump systems including circulation pumps and associated plant, ensuring adherence to design specifications and safety standards.

With exciting projects taking place across England, the ideal candidate will be based in central England and demonstrate a willingness to travel (all expenses covered). Candidates located in the Central locations such as Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire or surrounding areas would be particularly well-suited for this role.

About you:

  • Demonstrable professional electrical experience primarily in commercial installations.
  • Comprehensive understanding and experience in electrical wiring, safety standards, and BS7671 regulations.
  • NVQ level 3 in building services or HVAC sector.
  • Completion of the 18th Edition update to wiring regulations.
