The Opportunity:
The Business Development Director plays a key role in growing our business by identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, driving revenue growth and contributing to the company sales strategy.
This role combines strategic planning, closing high value sales leads and market development to expand our growing presence in Scotland and the North ensure long-term sustainable growth.
Location: Hybrid (Working from Home) Scotland— travel for client visits and meetings as and when required
- Proven experience in business development, sales or a commercial role, ideally within the new build residential housing sector.
- Strong understanding of the new build housing market, B2B sales and complex, multi-stakeholder sales processes.
- Experience managing the full sales cycle, including lead generation, opportunity qualification, tenders, proposals and negotiations.
- Strong commercial, negotiation and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders and housebuilders.
- A results-driven approach with a proven ability to win new business and achieve revenue targets.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to pitch solutions and influence decision-makers.
- Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce and analysing sales and market data to inform commercial decisions.
- Knowledge of heat networks and/or heat pump technologies would be advantageous.
