We’re looking for a motivated Assistant Driller (Geothermal) to join our team; assisting the Lead Driller on a Comacchio rotary drilling rig, associated mud cleaning plant and ancillary site equipment. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team, maintaining site cleanliness and preparedness, ensuring that the rig is attended to, materials stocked safely, and consumables ready as required.
Location: Ideal location for this candidate to be based is the South West of England. Although this is a Nationwide role, the candidate must be willing to travel for work (expenses paid).
The successful candidate will need to pass drug and alcohol screening and be capable of passing both a safety critical medical certificate and DBS checks.
Experience and Skills Required:
- Experience of drilling operations is preferred but not essential
- Experience working outdoors, preferably in construction environments is essential
- CSCS card, or the ability to obtain one
- Emergency First Aid at Work is preferred but not essential
- Telehandler ticket/license is preferred but not essential
- Full UK Driving license
- Effective and clear communication and interpersonal skills
