We're looking for an experienced Lead Rotary Driller to join our team; responsible for a Comacchio rotary drilling rig, associated mud cleaning plant and ancillary site equipment. The successful candidate will have a strong track record as a lead driller and be able to demonstrate both leadership of a drilling crew, along with the ability to safely and efficiently drill and install closed loop geothermal boreholes.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate for the Lead Rotary Driller role will have significant experience in land drilling, including experience with rotary and geothermal drilling operations.
- The role will require someone that is organised and with good planning skills together with the self-structure required to work autonomously, and in a wider team.
- Flexibility and a willingness to travel are essential requirements for this role, as is the desire to work long shifts and often stay away from home in company-provided accommodation.
- The successful candidate will need to pass drug and alcohol screening and be capable of passing both a safety critical medical, and DBS checks.
Education
- NVQ Level 2 in Land Drilling
Experience and Skills
- Demonstrable experience of drilling boreholes to depths in excess of 200m
- CSCS card, or the ability to obtain one
- Emergency First Aid at Work is preferred but not essential
- Telehandler ticket/license is preferred but not essential
- Full UK Driving license
- Effective and clear communication and interpersonal skills
