Heating Engineer Domestic Heat Pumps
Location: With offices in London & Maidenhead, and customers throughout England, the suitable candidate must be willing to travel.

Having grown rapidly across new build homes, Rendesco sees huge opportunity to provide clean heating to existing homes. Working to retrofit existing homes with heat pumps and batteries to deliver clean heating and energy savings to customers.
As our Senior Heating Engineer and first critical hire into our Domestic division, you will be responsible for:
- Installing heat pumps, cylinders, and other relevant equipment.
- Surveying homes, ensuring the right information is captured in the home to evaluate, quote and deliver heat pumps and batteries.
- Delivering equipment to customers' homes when needed, working with the wider team and Rendesco's stores manager to ensure the right equipment arrives to site on time for installation.
- Installing heat pumps, heating interface units (HIU) and the relevant connections, fittings and system components, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards, to deliver clean heating and energy savings to customers.
- Training other installers and helping to develop training materials to support the installation of our equipment and scaling of our business.
- Collaborating with colleagues across departments, including Engineering and Maintenance, to support a seamless customer journey.
Requirements:
- Demonstrable experience in plumbing and fitting cylinders, including exposure to a variety of materials, tools and techniques used in the trade and a track record of project completion at a high standard.
- Inspection & testing experience, demonstrating the production and completion of registration reports for MCS certified equipment with the DNO.
- Technical knowledge, including an understanding of domestic hydraulic installations to meet performance and safety requirements.
- Understanding of hot water regulations and guidelines including the UK's Building Regulations Part G or equivalent.
- Track record in renewables, infrastructure, or construction with an understanding of the challenges and practices associated with domestic installations.
- Willingness to travel to various work locations, including extended stays away from home to meet project demands.
- Engineering or Plumbing Qualification: NVQ level 2 or level 3 (or equivalent).
- WRAS Qualifications (water regs).
- Unvented hot water systems (part G).
- Gas safe registered (Essential).
