We’re looking for a passionate and technically sharp Structural Engineer to join our talented Birmingham team and make a real impact.
What You’ll Be Doing
- You’ll be a key part of our delivery team, contributing to the design and analysis of complex structures, while developing your technical and project management skills.
- Deliver high-quality engineering solutions and support project delivery across major UK and international assignments.
- Work on the design, analysis and checking of structures across sectors — from bridges and tunnels to retaining walls and marine works.
- Undertake calculations, use a variety of design software and apply international design codes and standards.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, external consultants, and clients.
- Contribute to managing time, budgets, and project resources efficiently.
- Adopt the standardisation and peer review of technical work to uphold design excellence.
- Make positive contributions to health and safety on projects and across your work priorities by reducing and managing associated risk.
What We’re Looking For
- A degree in civil or structural engineering (postgrad qualifications welcome).
- A proactive approach to become a Chartered Engineer (ICE, IStructE).
- Experience designing complex structures (foundations, bridges, marine structures, etc.) using steel, concrete, or composite materials.
- A good understanding of structural analysis, construction methods, and advanced numerical modelling.
- Familiarity with Eurocodes and international design standards.
- Proficiency in finite element analysis software such as LUSAS, Midas.
- A collaborative approach with excellent communication and writing skills.
