Join Us as a Senior Mechanical Engineer in London, working on global projects with real impact. We’re involved in major projects across the globe, including High Speed Rail, Nuclear Power, Highways, and Ports. From tunnels to bridges, from geotechnics to rail, we bring our expertise to solve complex engineering challenges for our key clients.
We’re now looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our collaborative and high-performing team in London. You’ll play a key role in delivering innovative geotechnical solutions on large-scale UK and international projects.
- Work flexibly within the M&E department as a competent, confident, expert source for mechanical design.
- Undertake fee earning assignments in the UK and overseas.
- Assist the Principal Mechanical Engineer and Project Manager in clarifying the project brief, agreed deliverables, key milestones, project methodology, quality assurance and control strategy.
- Undertake the lead technical role for mechanical engineering systems covering outline and detailed designs; e.g. calculations, drawings, sketches, reports etc., to achieve the optimum solution for the project.
Requirements:
- First Class/2:1 Masters Degree in a relevant mechanical engineering discipline.
- Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer, or have completed an accredited training scheme and be working toward attaining Chartered status with an appropriate professional body.
- Knowledge and experience of mechanical engineering systems of infrastructure and non-infrastructure works, together with an understanding of E&IC systems.
- Knowledge of infrastructure projects and an understanding of the integration of E&M systems in the overall construction project.
- Experience in design, tender and contract preparation, tender assessment, and contract administration.
- Awareness of forms of contract, construction methodologies and E&M engineering procedures.
