About our role:
- You will be a key part of our team, supporting the delivery of high quality outputs on complex and challenging large-scale UK and international projects.
- Produce geotechnical design fully independently and as part of a team.
- Assist and support a high level of technical capability within the skill area as may be required to deliver the service offerings targeted.
- Assist with the organisation and management of the technical staff, acting as a line manager as required, mentoring fellow engineers, supporting staff recruitment, training, CPD and implementation of ‘Best Practice’ and procedures.
- Support Graduates through the processes and requirements for completion of their Chartership.
About you:
- Civil engineering degree with relevant post graduate geotechnical / engineering geology qualification(s); Chartership via a recognised institution (ICE, IStructE).
- Demonstrable international and site experience, predominantly in large scale (c. £100m+) infrastructure projects, for a range of Clients in various construction market sectors.
- Strong knowledge of geotechnical and engineering geological processes and design, with a particular emphasis on data interpretation, design & analysis, construction and advanced numerical modelling.
- Ground investigation experience including design, preparation of tender documents, supervision, interpretation.
- Competent user of 2D and 3D finite element analysis software (e.g. PLAXIS, Z-soil).
- Ability to work under pressure to ensure deadlines are met, whilst maintaining a high quality of work.
- Excellent team working skills; able to lead, contribute to and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams in a matrix environment.
