FINANCE OPERATIONS & TRANSFORMATIONS LEADRendall & Rittner Competitive Hybrid - London (Vauxhall)ROLE OVERVIEWYou will lead the transformation and ongoing performance of our Finance Operations across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Treasury and Credit Control. This senior role is charged with improving effectiveness, control and efficiency, while building a more data-led, customer-focused and commercially minded operation that delivers reliable outcomes at scale.

In your first phase, you will design and deliver a substantial programme of change to simplify processes, strengthen control, embed automation and clarify ownership across the end-to-end cash and payment journey. Beyond the initial transformation, you will retain the mandate to own, manage and continuously improve the operating model, ensuring performance gains are sustained.

You will also act as a senior number two to the Head of Client Accounting, providing additional leadership capacity to deliver strategic priorities, drive operational excellence and lead major change initiatives that improve the customer and colleague experience. ROLE EXPECTATIONSMost days you will be diagnosing performance gaps, prioritising improvements and unblocking delivery across AP, AR, Treasury and Credit Control.

You will work closely with managers, Technology and data teams to implement better processes, controls and automation, and you will coach teams to build a culture of ownership and continuous improvement. You will regularly brief senior stakeholders on progress, risks and outcomes, and step in to lead critical initiatives or incidents when required. Material reduction in unallocated cash, aged items, backlogs and exceptions, with transparent ownership and escalation.

Credit Control operating as a targeted, data-driven collections function with improved cash collected, reduced roll rates and better cost-to-collect.

Accounts Payable running a disciplined invoice-to-pay process with strong supplier reconciliations, fewer duplicates and high on-time payment.

Robust daily and weekly performance reporting, with trends used to prevent issues and continuously improve.

Engaged teams and managers who demonstrate accountability, control mindset and a track record of sustaining improvements. HOW YOU'LL SPEND MOST OF YOUR TIMEMapping and redesigning end-to-end processes, simplifying hand-offs and standardising policies and controls.

Building and delivering a prioritised transformation roadmap, balancing value, risk, cost and customer impact. Implementing workflow, reporting and automation solutions to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy and speed.

Establishing and reviewing daily/weekly KPIs, backlogs and exception queues, and holding owners to account.

Leading targeted initiatives on unallocated cash, aged debt, supplier reconciliations and invoice exceptions.

Coaching managers and teams, removing blockers, and aligning stakeholders on change priorities and timelines. WHO THIS ROLE IS FORYou are a hands-on finance operations leader who thrives on fixing root causes and making improvements stick.

EXPERIENCE THAT HELPSLeading large-scale improvements across AP, AR, Treasury and Credit Control in a complex, high-volume environment. Designing operating models, implementing workflow/automation tools and reducing manual reconciliations and rework.

Building data and MI dashboards to manage performance, exceptions and operational risk.

Delivering targeted collections strategies, segmentation and promise-to-pay frameworks.

Running supplier statement reconciliation programmes and strengthening invoice-to-pay controls.
