Position: Senior Portfolio Accountant
Location: Hybrid – London/Vauxhall (SW8) twice a week
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 – 17:30.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements:
- Maintain accurate, compliant accounting records across property portfolios, including year-end accounts, cost reallocations, and variance analysis.
- Prepare profit & loss accounts, balance sheets, statutory accounts, and other financial reports for internal stakeholders, boards, and external auditors.
- Lead and manage audits, liaising with external auditors, approving draft accounts, and supporting the filing of statutory accounts.
- Monitor cash flow, manage creditors, and oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance reporting.
- Manage service charge accounting, including surplus/deficit reconciliations, tenant charges, demands, and ad hoc costs.
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to colleagues, and assist property managers with financial queries and projects.
- Maintain and optimise accounting systems (Propman desirable) and advanced Excel tools for reporting and analysis.
- Operate independently within a property management environment, applying strong knowledge of service charge and property accounting principles.
Previous experience will include:
- Recognised accounting qualification or part-qualified (CIMA, ACCA, AAT) or equivalent experience.
- Significant experience in an accounting role within the property sector.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
- Strong IT and numeracy skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Experience using accounting systems; familiarity with Propman is desirable but not essential.
- Demonstrated ability to understand, interpret, and prepare complex reports and plans, including financial reporting, budgeting, works scheduling, workload allocation, and performance planning.
