Overview

Based at one of the following Renault Trucks sites of Essex, Dunstable or Reading

This position is a key role within the sales team, delivering sales targets and commercial objectives by driving the performance of the Van Sales Team with effective management and leadership. Your main aim is to improve our market share, increase profitability and improve conversion rates whilst ensuring adherence to Sales Product Campaigns and compliance with the Retail Operating Standards.

Main Duties

  • To sell Renault Trucks van products and service agreements in line with agreed sales targets
  • To maintain current key account customer relationships
  • To actively prospect for business with both new and existing customers
  • Regularly attend customer calls and meetings with the Van sales team to support in selling and closing deals
  • Promote and lead in maintaining and developing customer relations
  • In conjunction with marketing, implement promotional campaigns and review effectiveness
  • Commercial appraisal of deals, so that the company’s financial position is maximised and not put at risk
  • In conjunction with the Sales Director, responsible for the management of the Van Sales P&L, relevant balance sheet position – including working capital management (stock)
  • Represent the region at key internal and external meetings, including meetings with our market company, Renault Trucks UK and Ireland
  • To ensure effective working relationships are maintained within RTC and RTUK

Team management

  • Ensure the Van sales team effectively use the CRM system to manage customer relationships and ensure sales opportunities are maximised
  • Coaching and mentoring direct reports to fulfil the functions of their roles effectively
  • In conjunction with the Sales Director, set sales targets and objectives for the Van sales team
  • Ensure the Van sales team comply with company sales processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in operational processes
  • In conjunction with the Sales Director develop commission schemes for the Van sales teams

Essential Requirements

  • Formal training in management and leadership
  • Evidence of running successful sales operations in the Commercial Vehicle industry
  • Evidence of successfully leading, managing, coaching and mentoring employees
  • Good understanding of the Light Commercial vehicle retail business & environment
  • Formal Sales training qualifications
