An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the Renault Truck Commercials Network - RTC in Faversham, Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Level 3 qualified HGV Technician or Level 3 qualified LCV Technician to join our thriving and busy Kent Dealership.

Main Duties

  • Shifts: 40 hour week
  • Hourly rate is up to £21 per hour negotiable
  • Early Shift 06:00 - 14:30 | Late Shift 13:30 - 22:00
  • Alternate Saturdays
  • Extra payments for Saturday mornings, Standby and Call Out

Responsibilities Summary

  • Ensure your work is carried out as efficiently as possible and you are following the Service Process Maps
  • Ensure you are fully briefed on job requirements and budgets per up‑front job specifications
  • Provide diagnostic outcomes and accurately specify repair solutions
  • Ensure time recording procedures are complied with including correct use of codes as per productivity policy
  • Ensure fully specified jobs are given to CSR for invoicing

Knowledge

  • Significant experience of working as a Dealership Technician within the Commercial vehicle industry
  • Good knowledge of VOSA requirements and MOT testers manual
  • The application of Standard Times
  • Knowledge of the Service Process stages relevant to the role
  • An appreciation of our customers, the environment in which they operate and the direct impact we can have on their business
  • Technical product knowledge

Required Competences

  • City and Guilds, NVQ 3 or equivalent in Commercial Vehicle Technology - HGV or LCV
  • To be able to work in an organised & methodical manner ensuring that all daily tasks are completed
  • To be able to modify your approach in specific circumstances to ensure a positive outcome
  • To be able to understand & analyse technical issues & propose appropriate solutions
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
