Our prestigious Chiltern Depot based in Dunstable is currently looking for a qualified HGV Technician Supervisor with excellent diagnostic and mechanical skills to work rotating shifts:
Working 44 hours Mon-Fri 06.00 to 16.00 and 12.00 – 22.00 (1 hr unpaid lunch break). Friday’s will be 1 hour less 06.00-15.00 and 12.00-21.00 – Saturday’s as required.
Pay: c£23.50 pr hr overtime at time and a half
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise the shift technicians and co-ordinate workload
- Liaise with the Workshop Manager regarding shift staff, training needs, KPI’s etc
- Diagnosis and repair of vehicles
- Servicing of vehicles to a high standard
- Participation in call out and breakdown rota – if/when required
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment
- Carry out scheduled safety inspections and report any rectifications required
- Complete job cards clearly and accurately
Essential Qualifications and Knowledge:
- C&G or NVQ3 HGV Technician qualification
- Electrical and Mechanical skills and experience
- Good understanding of H&S issues in a workshop environment
- Clean Driving Licence – HGV would be an advantage
