Renault Retail Group is looking for an experienced SMART Repair Technician to join our growing operation based at Pioneer Park, Bristol (BS4). Working from our Pro+ Van Service Centre at Unit D, you'll help ensure customer vehicles are repaired to a high cosmetic standard, delivering quality workmanship and excellent customer outcomes.

Renault Retail Group is investing in a dedicated SMART repair area within the workshop, including a preparation area, SMART repair oven, and paint mixing facilities. As the operation develops, there will also be opportunities to support the introduction of alloy wheel refurbishment services, with training available for the successful candidate. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing operation at an early stage of development, helping shape a specialist SMART repair function within our Bristol business.

What You'll Do

  • Carrying out SMART cosmetic repairs to manufacturer standards
  • Repairing scratches, scuffs, paint damage, and minor panel defects
  • Undertaking paintless dent repairs where appropriate
  • Preparing, repairing, and refinishing damaged panels
  • Identifying additional vehicle defects that may require further repair or attention
  • Supporting alloy wheel refurbishment work as the service develops
  • Ensuring all work is completed accurately and within agreed repair times
  • Maintaining a safe, organised, and professional working environment
  • Following workshop processes and manufacturer procedures at all times

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a SMART Repair Technician, Cosmetic Repair Technician, Paint Technician, Vehicle Prep Technician, or similar role
  • Strong repair and paint preparation skills
  • Experience carrying out cosmetic vehicle repairs to a high standard
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Ability to manage workload efficiently while maintaining quality standards
  • A professional and customer-focused approach

The following would be advantageous, but not essential:

  • Paintless dent repair experience
  • Alloy wheel repair experience
  • ATA accreditation or equivalent bodyshop qualification

Training can be provided for successful candidates looking to develop additional SMART repair skills.

Licence Requirement

A full UK manual driving licence (manual and automatic vehicles) is essential for this role.

Hours & Pay

£33,359 pa basic salary OTE £45,035 pa, achievable and uncapped Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm with 30 minutes lunch break 40 hours per week
