Are you ready to accelerate your career with a dynamic and innovative F1 team? We have a fantastic opportunity for an exceptionally talented Vehicle Performance Engineer to join our Vehicle Performance group. This position will play a crucial role in helping us push for podiums and race wins.

Our team is dedicated to engineering excellence, pushing the boundaries of technology and optimising performance to achieve our goals. We are built on collaboration and mutual support, fostering a vibrant, inclusive culture where your ideas and contributions are valued.

The Role Of Our Vehicle Performance Engineer

You will be part of the team working to maximise the full-vehicle performance of the car through analysis and simulations, with a strong focus on exploiting simulations to contribute to performance on the track.

Your Challenge

Within your role you will contribute to real-time support of trackside operations during race and test events. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Maintenance of vehicle model setup/configuration database.
  • Maintenance and development of simulation and data-analysis tools for pre-event reporting.
  • Conduct studies and design of experiments to understand coupling across different sub-system domains and identify main performance trade-offs (e.g. energy management, aero, tyres, suspension, brakes).
  • Actively contribute to prove new ideas/simulation methodologies through race/simulator event support activities, working closely with other sections (Simulator, Aero Performance, Tyres, Race Eng).
  • Analysis of simulator and race car data to understand main limitations of existing simulation toolset (e.g. driveability limitations, PU correlation).
Who We Want

We are looking to enhance our talented team with someone who has previous experience, ideally within F1 or another high-level motorsport. You should be educated to First-Class Degree level or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline and have a strong technical background on vehicle dynamics and simulation.

It would be advantageous if you were proficient in MATLAB/Simulink and Motorsport data analysis software (Atlas, WinTAX etc). Additionally, having experience of programming in Python would be an advantage.

We are seeking a self-motivated, proactive, and highly organised individual with a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate will be able to remain focused, driven and objective in a fast-paced environment, consistently meeting deadlines with minimum supervision. A flexible approach to working hours is essential to support business demands and achieve both individual and team objectives. We are looking for someone who brings creativity, innovation, and a solution-focused mindset to problem-solving, alongside excellent verbal and written communication skills.
