We are looking for a Sous Chef for a beautiful French Bistro in London. The operation represents authentic French cuisine, working only with fresh seasonal products imported directly from France. The restaurant is part of a successful company that trades internationally and stands out for offering friendly and high-quality service. This is a small restaurant open 4 days during the week for lunch and dinner service.
Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for a small team alongside the Head Chef.
- Guarantee the respect of health and safety procedures and training.
- Create new menus and work on the costing accordingly, alongside the Executive Head Chef.
- Look after the recruitment, training and development of the team.
- Maintain the company standards.
- Be commercially and financially aware: capable to deal with P&L independently.
Ideal Candidate / Requirements:
- The ideal Sous Chef will have a stable career path, ideally experience with French cuisine and used to fresh and seasonal ingredients.
- To be considered for the role, the Chef will have to come from a quality operation, minimum 2AA.
- We are happy to consider for the role a Junior Sous Chef ready to step up.
- The Sous Chef will work 8 shifts. No late evenings involved.
