Role Summary

We are looking for a UX Researcher to join Renaissance and deliver high-quality user and buyer insights that inform product decisions across discovery, design, and validation phases. The role involves collaborating with Product Managers, Designers, and Product Operations to test concepts, validate solutions, and enhance overall product experience.

UX Researcher Job Responsibilities

  • Recommend appropriate research methodologies to generate insights at all phases of the product lifecycle
  • Lead, plan, conduct, and synthesise qualitative research projects supporting product initiatives, including user interviews, usability testing, surveys, and concept validation
  • Take product ideas, features, and designs directly to users and buyers to gather feedback and insight
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to assess user needs, behaviours, and feature viability
  • Analyse research findings and synthesise insights into clear, actionable outputs for product teams

Product Development Support

  • Collaborate with Product Managers to support initiative-level research needs
  • Support discovery, ideation, and validation phases within the product development lifecycle
  • Facilitate A/B testing and concept testing for product designs and feature variations
  • Provide regular updates and insight reports to inform prioritisation and decision-making

User Engagement and Research Operations

  • Leverage structured user access programmes (e.g., UX Research Groups) as a primary research channel
  • Work with Product Operations to plan research sessions, recruit participants, and manage logistics
  • Conduct targeted research activities where deeper insight is required
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of research processes, tooling, and repositories

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Deliver findings with compelling narratives that identify key opportunities and inform product decisions
  • Partner with Product, Design, Engineering, and Product Marketing to embed user insight in decision-making
  • Champion the voice of the user within product teams
  • Support a culture of user-centred design across the organisation

Performance and Impact

  • Ensure research outputs directly inform product direction and improve decision quality
  • Track and communicate the impact of research on product outcomes
  • Contribute to building a scalable, repeatable user insight capability

Experience We’d Love To See

  • Previous experience in UX research
  • Experience working in an Agile environment and managing multiple projects, teams, or clients
  • Strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Demonstrated ability to translate user insights into actionable product recommendations
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, cross-functional product environment
  • Experience crafting compelling narratives from data
  • Collaborative approach with ability to influence across teams
  • Passion for improving outcomes for educators and students

Desirable Experience And Skills

  • Experience in education technology or SaaS products
  • Experience working with international markets
  • Familiarity with research repositories and insight management tools
  • Background working as a classroom teacher

Additional Information

This role is a hybrid position based out of our London or Houghton Le Spring office with some travel to other offices as required for team collaboration.

Salary range: £40,000 – £48,000 depending on experience, plus benefits.

Location

Our London office is currently located in Brentford but will relocate to a more central location later in 2026. The office is dog-friendly.
