Renaissance is recruiting for two QA Test Analysts to join our growing team. As a QA Test Analyst at Renaissance, you’ll work as part of a collaborative team delivering software that meets both customer and business needs. You’ll help ensure quality by applying agreed standards and best practices, working to shared deadlines, and identifying and communicating software quality issues. You’ll actively contribute within teams using their chosen delivery methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Creating test artefacts as required
  • Reviewing test artefacts and source documentation
  • Executing and re‑executing tests across defined phases (e.g. system, automation, regression, performance, and ad‑hoc testing)
  • Recording and clearly communicating issues identified during testing
  • Maintaining appropriate records of key information (such as test results, meeting outcomes, coverage and progress)
  • Providing test estimates when needed
  • Following agreed testing processes and standards, and contributing ideas to continuous improvement
  • Identifying and escalating risks to milestones and deliverables
  • Working with the relevant lead or team to agree priorities, provide estimates, report progress, and highlight risks or impediments
  • Collaborating with other testers to share knowledge and build collective capability

Qualifications and Experience

  • Awareness of relevant test automation tools
  • Domain or product knowledge, with experience designing and implementing test artefacts
  • Strong test design and execution skills
  • A focus on quality and attention to detail
  • An understanding of Agile ways of working
  • Experience working within a software development lifecycle
  • An ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a wide range of stakeholders
  • A collaborative approach to working, both independently and as part of a team
  • Openness to learning and contributing to positive change
  • Ability to manage time and priorities effectively
  • ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing
  • Experience with, or willingness to explore AI tools and approaches to continuously improve testing practices and ways of working

Role Details

This is a hybrid role based out of our Houghton‑le‑Spring office; the team meets a couple of times a week with occasional travel to other offices. Basic salary between £30,000 – £40,000 per annum, dependent on experience. 25 days a year plus bank holidays (three of which are used for the Christmas shutdown). A day off for your birthday to celebrate in style. 5 volunteering days a year to support causes of your choice.
