About this role: We are looking for an experienced Head of Sales to report directly to our UK Director of Sales, who will develop and support the organisation’s strategic vision of becoming the leading Ed-tech provider globally over the next 3 years. Our Head of Sales will focus on driving sales growth across our core Primary, LA, Celtic, Secondary & Independent School markets in the UK. Engaging regularly with the UK Sales & Customer Success Leadership team, this position will play a key role in delivering results that align with our global ambitions. You will ensure the company vision and strategies are being carried out throughout the UK divisions leading and coaching a team of Sales Managers, to hit all goals and targets across the UK.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a competitive new business strategy for all UK segments (excluding MATs) to ensure consistent growth.
- Establish a robust pipeline & forecasting approach across the Field team to enable the team to exceed budget annually.
- Lead & develop the sales management function, fostering a culture of coaching and performance delivery.
- Collaborate with the UK Sales Director to develop KPI’s that support the delivery of the Field growth number.
- Partner with the Marketing team to develop a sales & marketing plan that aligns with the sales strategy.
- Develop and coach the team to continuously improve and respond to market drivers.
- Work with UK Sales Director to set and implement targets and commission plans across your teams.
- Be a key part of the UKSL leadership team to deliver UK strategy.
- Build a solution-led sales approach across the Field team.
- Be the influential voice for UK sales to ensure the future product roadmap & product development is in line with sales priorities and a clear feedback process in place.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing function to ensure effective messaging and value propositions for each market segment.
- Manage talent and performance across the Field sales team including talent spotting, succession planning & future proofing.
- Serve as the voice for new business, championing Field priorities across the organisation.
- Recruit high calibre sales leads to challenge and develop the level of reach we have in our core market areas.
Skills and experience required:
- Previous Director level or Senior Manager level (preferably in Ed Tech business)
- Experience of leading sales managers in a highly commercial environment
- Proven track record of achieving sales growth and delivery of results to meet business plan targets
- Experience of working in a ‘values’ led market
- Use of Salesforce (desirable) or equivalent CRM
- Ability to communicate priorities clearly at all levels and across functions
- Commercially rational, able to de-prioritise as well as prioritise
- Strong engagement with senior colleagues, individually and as a team
- Champions positive change within the business
- Role models leadership, best practice, and organisational development for succession of talent
- Effective management of time and priorities and impacts

Additional information:
- This role is a Remote UK role, with the expectation to work from our London Head Office at least twice a month.
- We offer a competitive basic salary of up to £80,000 per annum, with a great OTE.
- 25 Days per annum plus Bank Holidays (3 to be used for our Christmas shutdown).
- A day off for your birthday, to be used in the month of your birthday.
