About This Role
Renaissance Global is recruiting a Mid-Level Data Engineer to join our growing team. As part of the Data Engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and managing our data systems, ensuring alignment with strategy and surfacing meaningful data insights. Your primary focus will be on data format, quality, privacy, sovereignty, and defining data standards for other teams to follow. You will also simplify complex technical information into dashboards, visualizations, reports, and querying tools for non-technical users. Working within a platform team, you will collaborate closely with technology colleagues and the wider business, including data scientists, statisticians, cloud engineers, developers, architects, analysts, product owners, and leadership.
Data Engineer Job Responsibilities
- Identify and implement improvements around scalability, data delivery, and automation.
- Develop data guidelines and standards, supporting other teams in their adoption.
- Develop, deploy, and maintain BI tools, dashboards, and visuals to provide insights and facilitate data exploration.
- Simplify technical language and complex data issues, providing quantifiable solutions.
- Write and maintain queries and scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading; conduct testing and validation.
- Create technical documentation on database content and mapping.
- Design and analyze data architecture and models to support efficient processing.
- Ensure optimal performance of data systems and platforms.
- Knowledge or experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify KPIs and data sources.

Additional Information
We offer a competitive salary of £32,000-£37,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus numerous benefits. Part-time options are available.
