As a Software Developer with Renaissance, you’ll primarily work with the Microsoft platform using tools such as Azure, .Net and Angular. With us you’ll deliver quality software to meet customer and commercial needs. Software Developers Job Responsibilities- Work closely with your team leader and peers to prepare and deliver value for your customers.
- Work closely with more senior members of your team to co-ordinate and deliver work.
- Provide and receive quality feedback to/from team members to aid your personal development.
- Solution Coding and appropriate testing to meet business requirements.
- Follow and contribute to defined team standards.
- Deliver tasks and create effective solutions to tackle problems of well defined but small scope within the team's domain.
- Make visible steps towards independently owning parts of projects or initiatives, being able to analyse and break down the problem, define incremental solutions and communicate them effectively.
- Demonstrate ownership of smaller problem spaces, repeatedly achieving successful outcomes for those problems.
- Implement solutions that solve the problem, are easy to understand and follow established best practices.
- We are ideally looking for someone with either Edtech or SaaS experience with experience in designing and implementing complex software.
- Relevant experience with an industry-recognised software development lifecycle process.
- Proven experience of commercial software development.
- Ideally experience of working in structured Agile teams.
- Experience with relevant design principles and best practice.
- Experience with tools that automate or assist the development process.
- Experience in software design, database and development skills.
- Experience in troubleshooting complex software issues including in unfamiliar code.
- Demonstrate awareness of key principles in their discipline/domain (accessibility, performance, strategy, data quality etc) and have evidence of actioning them.
- Show understanding of the key motivations and needs of customers/stakeholders.
- Make sure there is consistent, steady progress on work assigned to them.
- Proactively communicate progress to their team, attempts to unblock themselves, but seeks timely guidance when needed.
- Makes consistent contributions to various meetings/ceremonies.
- Ability to communicate clearly at all levels and across functions.
