We are seeking talented and caring individuals who will make a difference to the lives of our residents at Beech Manor Care Home.

We are seeking an experienced Minibus Driver to join our staff for 35 hours per week worked 5 days over 7.

Must be over 25 and have held a driving licence for over 12 months. With D1 category.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all minibus documentation (road tax, MOT, service records) is up to date, liaising with Head Office as required.
  • Driving in a safe and responsible manner at all times.
  • Hold a clean driving licence which allows them to drive the Company vehicle.
  • Ensure residents and staff safety for the duration of any excursions.

Main Duties

  • Minibus
  • Promptly attend the home with the minibus according to the timetable.
  • Ensure that the residents’ interests are paramount whilst they are present and respond in a polite and professional manner at all times to their requests.
  • Ensure the safety of the residents at all times by working with the Wellbeing Lead and assisting residents safely on and off the minibus. Furthermore, safely secure residents during the minibus trip.
  • In the event that no trips are planned, be prepared to be available during working hours to transfer residents to hospital, dental appointments etc.
  • Ensure the minibus is well maintained, kept clean at all times and report any faults to Home Manager. The minibus should be checked prior to each trip to ensure it is in a safe working order.
  • Be familiar with Health & Safety Legislation regarding the use and loading of minibuses.
