We’re looking for a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team, where you will play a crucial role in creating a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for our residents. This position offers flexibility, versatility, and an opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of our residents.
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician (or those with a trades background) to join our team at Cowdray Care Home for 40 hours a week. For our residents, finding purpose in each day can come from feeling involved and included in the daily life. As the Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in creating a safe, well-maintained, and welcoming environment that helps our residents feel at home.
Responsibilities
- Your responsibilities will include performing routine maintenance on the building, its services, and grounds, as well as maintaining the gardens, car park, and common areas.
- Your efforts will help ensure our care home is always safe, functional, and beautifully presented.
- You will oversee the outdoor storage areas and maintain clear and accurate records in line with Health & Safety standards and compliance, including fire safety.
- Through your work, you will support a secure, comfortable, and homely atmosphere for our residents.
Requirements
- An essential aspect of the role is upholding the values of People, Friendly, Passionate and Inclusion.
- The successful candidate will hold a clean UK Driving Licence and have a vehicle.
- You will have a proven track record in building maintenance and at least one year’s experience in a similar role.
- You are aware of Health & Safety requirements and be willing to undertake mandatory training - a recognised trade qualification is desirable.
