Hours of work: 40

As Deputy Manager you will assist in managing the Home’s operation in order to meet or exceed targets whilst ensuring high quality care is delivered. You will be responsible for the management of staff in the care home and expected to take over full management in the absence of the Home Manager. You will help train and supervise care staff in all aspects of their work through direct teaching and by example. You will be involved in assisting the Home Manager with pre‑admission assessments of residents, ensuring residents care plans and daily records are maintained for each resident and promoting good liaison with the relatives of residents and outside agencies.

Requirements

An essential aspect of the role is upholding the values of People, Friendly, Passionate and Inclusive. You will be a registered nurse and hold a current NMC registration. Ideally you will hold a SVQ in management qualification or be willing to work towards it. You will currently be working in a similar role and have been for at least one year. You can work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and lead them in the absence of the Home Manager.
