We are seeking talented and caring individuals looking to begin or continue their career in Social Care with us, making a difference to the lives of our residents at Renaissance Care. We are seeking experienced Care Assistants to join our team in Jesmond Care Home for contracts of 33 hours a week.

Our Care Assistants are at the forefront of resident engagement, they support and encourage meaningful interactions to ensure residents live with purpose and connection. Our Care Assistants will participate in person‑centred activities, outings and events and promote lifestyle and wellbeing choices for all residents.

The Care Assistant role is to ensure the highest quality, person‑centred care for all residents – supporting the delivery of each individual care plan. The role promotes the independence and choice of residents, making sure that their voice is heard through all elements of care and support. The role offers variety and versatility as no two days are the same. Key elements of care include:

  • Assisting with personal care
  • Promoting a positive mealtime experience to enhance nutrition and hydration
  • Supporting meaningful activities
  • Creating 1:1 meaningful moments

Requirements: An essential aspect of the role is upholding the values of People, Friendly, Passionate and Inclusion. You will be an effective communicator and work well as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Having your SVQ2 and previous experience in the care sector is beneficial but not essential as full training is provided.
