We are looking for a Carpenter/Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for visiting retail and commercial spaces nationwide and responding to tickets raised for repair and maintenance jobs.
Responsibilities Include:
- Travelling long distances and working away from home during the week (Mon-Fri away from home working applies)
- Visiting commercial properties in the Southwest and nationwide on a rotation basis tending to general maintenance jobs raised via an online ticket system
- Reporting back to the Management team weekly on all jobs carried out
Requirements:
- Full driving licence
- A good understanding of the fabric of a building
- Carpentry experience required along with a keen eye for detail and high finish jobs
- Ability to think on the job and problem solve with a good range of general maintenance skills and 'can do' attitude
- Professional and friendly manner as you will be dealing with staff and the general public
- Well presented with excellent communication skills
This position is permanent with a 3 month probation period, pay dependent on experience. Hours will be dependent on workload and the candidate will ideally be flexible to handle call out/weekend work at an overtime rate.
In return, REN, a small friendly team, offers full training, a competitive rate of pay, work vehicle, fuel and travel expenses, pension and paid holiday.
