About the Role

We’re looking for a Business Development Manager (Maternity Cover) to manage our On-Trade channel (in particular: select bars, hotels & restaurants) for complete portfolio of RCUK brands in Northern England.

What You Will Do

  • Drive the management of existing On Trade outlets as well as winning new business with our portfolio of brands, with ownership and initiative.
  • Successful planning, implementation & execution of commercial agreements to deliver volume & revenue as well as brand building activations.
  • Working with over 200 of the most prestigious On Trade customers in the UK, the Northern England BDM is also responsible for the direct sales of Louis XIII within this customer base.
  • Build relationships with key channel partners, especially wholesalers.
  • Develop a strong network in the trade (bartenders, buyers, sommeliers & other key influencers) and work collaboratively with peers (e.g. other Regional BDMs) and other departments (e.g. Marketing / Brand Ambassadors).
  • Contribute to a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience in a Sales / Business Development role within FMCG / wine & spirits.
  • Strong problem solving skills and ability to identify sales/ brand opportunities.
  • Excellent understanding of On-Trade channel (bars, hotels, restaurants) and thorough understanding of premium wine & spirits.
  • Good local knowledge of North England.
  • Ability to work in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.
  • A mindset focused on solutions, curiosity, and growth.
