About the Role

The Business Development position includes the management of existing On Trade outlets as well as winning new business with our portfolio of brands in Glasgow, Aberdeen, Dundee, and surrounding areas. The role requires the successful planning, implementation & execution of commercial agreements to deliver volume & revenue as well as brand building activations. Working with over 150 of the most prestigious On Trade customers in Scotland, the BDM is also responsible for the direct sales of Louis XIII within this customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with key channel partners, especially wholesalers.
  • Develop a strong network in the trade (bartenders, buyers, sommeliers & other key influencers).
  • Work collaboratively with peers (e.g. other Regional BDMs) and other departments (e.g. Marketing / Brand Ambassadors).

What You Bring:

  • Proven experience in an On Trade - Sales / Business Development role within FMCG / wine & spirits.
  • Good local knowledge of Scotland and existing local contact & network within the Industry.
  • Thorough understanding of premium wine & spirits.
  • Comprehensive understanding and working knowledge of brand building with the ability to balance commercial delivery.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify sales/ brand opportunities.
  • A strong commercial understanding of customer P&L’s.
  • Client centric, results driven, proactive and creative, structured, reliable and inquisitive.

Please also note that this role requires a driving licence.
