We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to support the technology infrastructure within our ergonomics company. The IT Technician will be responsible for maintaining computer hardware and software, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing technical support to both internal teams and clients using specialized ergonomic equipment and software. This role involves working closely with assistive technology and ergonomic solutions, ensuring seamless integration and operation of IT systems that improve workplace accessibility and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide day‑to‑day technical support for staff, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Set up and configure IT systems, including workstations, peripherals, and assistive devices used in ergonomic environments.
- Troubleshoot issues with assistive technologies and ergonomic software solutions.
- Support remote users with technical problems through phone, email, or remote desktop tools.
- Hardware & Software Maintenance
- Install, update, and maintain computer hardware, software, and operating systems.
- Perform regular system checks, diagnostics, and preventive maintenance to ensure all equipment runs smoothly.
- Manage and maintain inventory of IT equipment and ensure availability of required devices for employees and clients.
- Network & Security Management
- Monitor and manage the company’s network infrastructure, ensuring a stable and secure environment.
- Ensure data backup processes are maintained and troubleshoot any issues related to storage or data access.
- Maintain IT security protocols, monitor for potential threats, and ensure compliance with security policies.
- Client Support for Ergonomic Solutions

Qualifications
- Proven experience as an IT Technician or similar role, preferably in a company specialising in ergonomic or assistive technologies.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, operating systems (Windows, Mac, and Linux), and networking fundamentals.
- Experience with installing and troubleshooting assistive technology or ergonomic software and devices is a plus.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to provide technical support to both technical and non‑technical users.
- Knowledge of network security protocols and data protection best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), or similar.
- Experience in the ergonomics or assistive technology field.
