Experience

  • 12 months of role experience is required from any number of months.
  • 18 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience is required from last 3 years.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have a Georgia license or compact license (required for submission).
  • Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

  • COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
  • Flu vaccination required for submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
  • Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Please upload any certifications or health documents you have to your profile to expedite your on-boarding process.

    Additional Details

    You may be required to float to any of NGHS’s 5 campuses (Gainesville, Braselton, Barrow, Habersham, & Lumpkin). Campuses are 13-33 miles from Gainesville campus.

    This position entails a night shift contract with designated shifts to choose from, without the option for holidays or overtime.

    Resource Contract Staff are limited to working 3 shifts weekly (6 shifts bi-weekly), with a possibility of schedule adjustments to meet organizational needs.

    The shifts are as follows: 3 shifts during the week: (in any order) Monday (night) Friday (night) Saturday (night), or Sunday (night) with the occasional option of Tuesday (night) Wednesday (night) or Thursday (night) dictated by staffing needs.

    Our work week at NGHS begins on Monday and ends on Sunday.

    Additionally, Med Surg nurses may be assigned to work in our system Emergency Rooms and Observation units with Admitted patient holds.

    Maximum days off: 5 days
