RemoteStar is looking to hire a Shopify developeron behalf of our client based in the UK with a fully remote work policy.

About Client:

The client building, the B2B marketplace for diamonds. It’s an industry-leading B2B diamond and gemstones marketplace, connecting jewelry retailers to gemstone supplies They have a presence in London, Hong Kong, Amsterdam, and as well in Mumbai and now in New York in 2001.

About the role:

The Shopify developer will work on Shopify to empower merchants to embed client requirements directly into their online stores and create powerful journeys such as the ability to create custom jewelry.

Core Competencies:

  • Technical Degree: Bachelor\’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of professional experience in web development, with a focus on e-commerce platforms.
  • JavaScript & TypeScript: Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript for front-end and back-end development.
  • GraphQL: Experience with GraphQL for efficient data querying and manipulation.
  • Shopify Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Shopify\’s ecosystem, including the Shopify API, CLI, and app extensions.

Required experience:

  • Engineering experience working directly on Shopify apps – has developed and shipped a Shopify app – familiarity on versioning the Shopify app from source control and CI/CD
  • Engineering experience working directly on Shopify theme app extensions – has developed and shipped theme app extensions with app blocks – using the Shopify liquid templates.

Preferred experience:

  • Theme App Extension – has developed a wrapped app block that uses a JS asset to query and display data from an external data source
  • Polaris – Understandhttps://polaris.shopify.com/ foundations and components – helping to design a Polaris-first admin settings page for the Shopify plugin
  • Fulfillment service – has developed a fulfillment service for a Shopify app
