We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive QA Engineer with 6+ years of experience in manual testing, with a strong focus on database testing. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, be comfortable working independently in client-facing roles, and demonstrate hands-on expertise in SQL query validation. Proficiency in Excel is essential for managing and validating the data throughout the testing process.

Responsibilities

  • Perform manual testing of web applications to ensure quality, functionality, and performance.
  • Conduct thorough database testing, including SQL query validation, to verify data integrity and consistency.
  • Design, execute, and maintain test cases and test scenarios.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver effective testing solutions.
  • Work independently as an Individual Contributor (IC), taking ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders to provide updates, report issues, and clarify requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in manual testing of web applications.
  • At least 5 years writing complex SQL queries for data validation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and validation.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven experience working independently as an Individual Contributor.
  • Prior exposure to client-facing roles.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
