Job Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive QA Engineer with 6+ years of experience in manual testing, with a strong focus on database testing. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, be comfortable working independently in client-facing roles, and demonstrate hands-on expertise in SQL query validation. Proficiency in Excel is essential for managing and validating the data throughout the testing process.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual testing of web applications to ensure quality, functionality, and performance.
- Conduct thorough database testing, including SQL query validation, to verify data integrity and consistency.
- Design, execute, and maintain test cases and test scenarios.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver effective testing solutions.
- Work independently as an Individual Contributor (IC), taking ownership of assigned tasks.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders to provide updates, report issues, and clarify requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 6 years of experience in manual testing of web applications.
- At least 5 years writing complex SQL queries for data validation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data management and validation.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven experience working independently as an Individual Contributor.
- Prior exposure to client-facing roles.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
