About the role: Staff Engineer – Data Governance. You will run a project generating risk reports critical for the entire company. The tool is currently considered for complete renovation. The main scope will be implementation of new functionalities, adding new reports, writing tests, pipeline analysis and active participation in the team’s scrum life.
Technologies used: Python, pandas, numpy, Kafka, Airflow, REST, GCP, bash. Big‑data knowledge or extensive cloud experience is not required; willingness to expand skills is important.
What you’ll do:
- As part of the Data Engineering Team, you will be responsible for delivering high‑quality work.
- Adding new reports
- Writing tests
- Building deployment pipelines
- Analyzing and designing technical solutions
- Actively participating in the team’s scrum life
What you’ll need for this role:
- 7+ years of experience in the following areas:
- Strong experience in Python
- Data processing with pandas/pyspark
- Good experience with SQL & GCP
- Understanding of development life‑cycle (CI/CD, Gitlab)
- Unit testing
- DBT
- Cloud
It would be great if you have experience with:
- Apache Kafka
- Apache Spark
- Message formats AVRO/Parquet/ORC/JSON
- Terraform
