RemoteStar is looking to hire a Design Engineer on behalf of our client in Scotland.

About the Role - We are seeking a Design Engineer with experience in designing and building structures.

About the Client - UK’s leading Structural Steelwork supplier, offering comprehensive solutions for large-scale developments since 1992. Our client works across retail, commercial, health, education, data, and industrial sectors, serving some of the UK’s and Ireland’s foremost main contractors and developers.

Location - Carnwath, South Lanarkshire, Scotland

Responsibilities:

  • Designing Structural Frame, Connection, and Foundation of client projects.
  • Delivering project outcomes.
  • Communicating with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in Structural Frame, Connection, and Foundation Design.
  • Proficiency in design software.
  • Experience with SER certification process is a plus.
  • Professional qualifications such as CEng, MIStructE, or MICE are preferred; mentoring support available for candidates pursuing these.
  • Strong communication skills.
