What you’ll do:
- Technical Leadership: Lead architectural decisions for trading systems, multi-region AWS deployments, and regulatory compliance implementations including Travel Rule and Chainalysis integration.
- Platform Development: Oversee trading platform development and integrations (IBKR, exchange protocols), customer engagement systems (Braze-Intercom), and external APIs with Akamai/ECS orchestration.
- Engineering Excellence: Establish coding standards across global teams (UK, Singapore, India, Poland), mentor senior engineers, and drive adoption of modern development practices.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, compliance, and infrastructure teams to support crypto trading expansion and business objectives through reliable technology delivery.
What you’ll need for this role:
- Experience: 8+ years of software engineering with 3+ years in senior/staff roles; strong fintech/trading systems background.
- Technical Skills: Distributed systems, microservices, AWS cloud platforms, FIX protocol, container orchestration (ECS/Kubernetes).
- Leadership: Technical leadership experience, mentoring engineers, cross-functional collaboration across distributed teams.
- Domain Knowledge: Financial regulations (APAC markets), DevSecOps practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
- QuickFix library and financial messaging protocols.
- Multi-currency trading systems and exchange connectivity.
- Compliance technology platforms (Notabene).
