  • Build the people and leadership systems required to take RemotePass from 120 people to the next phase of global growth without losing execution quality or cultural cohesion.
  • Own the people system: Move from reactive HR support to a deliberate, founder-level people strategy aligned with business and GTM goals.
  • Raise the bar. Improve manager effectiveness, hiring quality, and leadership accountability across the organisation.

At the core this function will enable growth by ensuring people, structure, and operating rhythm do not become bottlenecks to scaling revenue from €10m to €25m ARR in 2026.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and lead people strategy across all areas of the employee experience, ensuring it aligns with our commercial goals and business model (includes ownership over organisational design, workforce planning, and leadership capability as the company scales).

  • Own and evolve hiring frameworks, onboarding, performance management, and leadership development for a distributed, multicultural workforce.
  • Shape and steward RemotePass’s employer brand, ensuring we attract, hire, and retain top talent aligned with our values and performance standards globally.
  • Coach and challenge managers to make strong people decisions; intervene decisively when standards slip.
  • Design and implement scalable people operations, policies, and processes for a workforce spread across 26+ countries.
  • Ensure that processes and workflows are AI-powered by default, using automation, tools and workflows to increase speed, quality and consistency.
  • Balance compliance, flexibility, and employee experience in a global, remote-first environment.

  • Senior people leadership experience in a fast-growing, global SaaS or technology company.
  • At least 3 years as a head of people department.
  • Proven track record scaling teams through rapid growth phases (100+ employees).
  • Experience operating in multi-country, distributed environments with complex compliance needs.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Thinks commercially and understands how people systems enable execution and revenue.
  • Willing to challenge leaders, push back when needed, and uphold standards.
  • Bias toward simple, scalable solutions over heavy programs or bureaucracy.
  • High level of discretion, judgment, and professionalism.
  • Trusted by founders and senior leaders as a thought partner, not just a support function.
