Our global team works across offices in Austin, New York, Los Angeles, Miami, London, and Hamburg.
The Role
We're looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in Germany and help grow our client base across Europe. This role sits at the heart of our European expansion, working across the UK, DACH, and wider European markets to bring high-profile individuals, executives and brands on board as Status Labs clients. You'll prospect new opportunities, pitch to prospective clients, and close new business, building relationships with CEOs, celebrities and some of the biggest brands in the world. As you grow in the role, you'll also take on account management responsibility for the relationships you build, working alongside our Business Development Director and wider Sales & Strategy team.
What You'll Be Doing
- Prospect and research new business opportunities across European markets via phone, email, LinkedIn and social media
- Pitch Status Labs' services to prospective clients, including executives, founders and public figures
- Own the full sales cycle from first outreach through to closing new business
- Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities in HubSpot CRM, with clear, consistent follow-up
- Develop and grow relationships with referral partners across your markets
- Prepare tailored proposals and reputation management reports for prospective clients
- Transition closed clients into long‑term account management relationships and identify upsell opportunities
- Collaborate with the wider Sales, Strategy and Account Management teams to refine outreach and messaging
- Keep up to date with trends across digital PR, reputation management and SEO
Who You Are
- 2 years' experience in business development or sales, ideally selling a high-involvement service or product
- Comfortable working autonomously across a hybrid, multi-country European team
- Confident, polished communicator with excellent written and verbal English
- Additional European languages (French, Italian, Spanish) are a strong plus, given the multi‑market remit of this role
- Experience in reputation management, PR, communications or a related agency background is preferred, but not essential, as we'll train the right person on our service offering
- Curious and commercially aware, with a genuine interest in media, branding, current affairs and international relations
- Strong researcher, highly organised, and comfortable managing your own pipeline and priorities
- Applicants must already be legally authorized to work in Germany. Status Labs is unable to provide visa or work permit sponsorship for this position.
What We Offer
- €45,000 to €55,000 base salary (DOE) with uncapped commission (OTE €75,000 to €85,000, with top performers earning €120,000)
- Full‑time, permanent contract with hybrid working: Germany‑based team members work remotely with regular opportunities for in‑person collaboration and should be comfortable travelling to meet in‑person with other team members in Germany, and to our London office as needed
- Clear progression path into senior Business Development, Strategy or Account Management roles
- Hands‑on training and mentorship from experienced sales leaders
- Generous annual leave and a supportive parental leave policy
- Regular team socials, global off‑sites, and an annual company‑wide trip for top performers
- The opportunity to work with CEOs, celebrities and some of the world's best‑known brands, across a genuinely international client base
