The Position

This is an exciting time to join Remote and build a thriving ecosystem of HRIS integrations as a Senior Product Manager, HRIS Integrations.

Your Mission

Enable customers to sync their HRIS with Remote's employment infrastructure for Payroll, EOR, and Contractors through reliable, well-designed technical integrations. You will work deeply with Remote’s APIs and partner APIs, translating customer problems into data flows that are accurate, scalable, and easy to use. Working closely with Product, Engineering, Design, GTM, Sales, and Customer Success, you will bring the detail orientation, collaboration, and customer judgment needed to build integrations that work exceptionally well, solve real customer problems, and drive customer outcomes. You report to a Senior Group Product Manager and collaborate daily with Engineering, Design, GTM, Sales, and Customer Success to ensure every HRIS integration succeeds commercially and technically.

What You Bring

  • Senior-Level Experience: Track record as a Product Manager with a strong focus on Integrations, APIs, or Platform ecosystems.
  • Customer Focus: Deep empathy for customers and a strong sense of what matters most in their day-to-day workflows.
  • Partner-Facing Experience: Proven experience building trusted relationships with external organizations and communicating clearly in partner-facing settings.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to align cross-functional stakeholders, navigate trade-offs, and keep teams focused on what matters most for customers.
  • Strong UX Sensibilities: A passion for effortless experiences. You believe that data syncing, even at scale across jurisdictions, should feel simple and seamless to the end user.
  • Proficiency in Cursor and/or Claude Code (Required): You must be able to autonomously build, debug, and ship functional code and prototypes — not just write specs. You can understand sample code, API responses, and integration flows hands-on.
  • Domain Expertise (HRIS/Payroll - nice to have): Experience with HRIS and payroll platforms (Workday, HiBob, BambooHR, Personio, ADP, Paychex, or similar). You understand data models, sync patterns, and common integration pain points in the space.
  • Outstanding Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You can explain complex technical integrations to non-technical executives and clearly articulate value to external partners.
  • Language: Business-level proficiency writing and speaking English.

Key Responsibilities

  • Integration Architecture & Design: Lead deep-dive technical discovery into Remote’s APIs and partner APIs. Understand data mapping, data flows, authentication flows, API keys, edge cases, and compliance requirements across 100+ countries.
  • Customer-Led Prioritization: Prioritize integration work based on customer needs, product impact, technical feasibility, and operational complexity.
  • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Serve as the connective tissue between engineering, design, operations, GTM, sales, CX, and partners. Translate customer and partner requirements into clear technical specs, manage dependencies, and unblock delivery.
  • Quality & Reliability: Sweat the details of data accuracy, sync reliability, error handling, observability, and supportability so integrations work well in real customer workflows.
  • Measure Integration Impact: Establish and track KPIs for technical performance and customer outcomes, including adoption, reliability, retention, and customer satisfaction.
  • Drive Product Feedback: Turn integration learnings into clear, actionable feedback for Remote teams — what to add, fix, and improve across APIs, CLIs, and the product overall.
