What this job offers
This is an exciting opportunity to join Remote as a Payroll Specialist Lead within our Global Payroll Operations Team .
What you bring
- End-to-end payroll processing experience, either in-house or with a payroll service provider
- Knowledge of payroll best practices
- Proficiency in software tools like Excel / Google Suite
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, international environment
- Passion for improving and streamlining work processes
- Understanding of asynchronous work dynamics
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Remote work experience is a plus, but not required
- Experience with AFAS payroll software is a plus, but not required
Key responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert for payroll in the Netherlands
- Manage relationships with stakeholders in Payroll Implementation, Finance, Product, and Engineering
- Process full payroll cycles, statutory filings, exceptions, approvals, payments, and compliance
- Ensure data integrity and quality

Compensation Philosophy
Remote fosters internal mobility and guarantees pay equity. Compensation reviews are case-by-case. Our salary range for this role is $35,000 – $74,000 USD, based on factors like location, skills, experience, and market demands. Actual pay depends on these factors and may vary.
