The Position
This is an exciting time to join Remote and make a difference in the global employment space as a Senior Product Manager, Customer Integrations. In this role, you will sit at the unique intersection of Product Strategy and Partnerships. Your mission is to build a thriving ecosystem of integrations and partnerships for Remote’s HR Platform. You won’t just manage the “how” of our integrations; you will also drive the “who” and the “why.” You will be responsible for identifying high-impact partnership opportunities, pitching the Remote platform to external stakeholders, and building the technical bridges that allow our customers to manage recruitment, people and performance management without ever leaving their preferred tools. By blending technical API expertise with a sharp business mind, you will directly influence Remote’s market expansion and long-term defensibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect the Integration Strategy: Define a roadmap that balances technical scalability with commercial growth.
- Strategic Business Development: Partner with GTM and Sales teams to identify, vet, and recruit high-value integration partners (e.g., ATS, ERP, productivity, user provisioning, etc.).
- Partner Evangelism & Pitching: Act as the technical face of Remote in partner discussions. You will clearly articulate the value proposition of integrating with Remote to external product and engineering leaders.
- Design the “Win-Win” Integration: Work with partners to co-design integration flows that provide mutual value, ensuring that the final product drives high adoption for both parties.
- Technical Discovery & Data Mapping: Lead deep-dive sessions into partner API capabilities (REST, Webhooks, OAuth) to ensure robust data synchronization and compliance across global jurisdictions.
- Cross-Functional Orchestration: Act as the central “glue” between Engineering, Design, Sales, GTM, and CX to ensure every integration is technically sound and commercially successful.
- Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry trends, identifying emerging players that could become key strategic partners for Remote.
- Measure Ecosystem ROI: Establish and track KPIs not just for technical performance, but for business outcomes like partner-sourced leads, customer retention, and ecosystem revenue.
General Requirements
- Senior-Level Experience: Track record of experience as a Product Manager with a strong focus on Integrations, APIs, or Platform ecosystems.
- The “Product-Biz” Mindset: Proven ability to think commercially. You understand how an integration impacts the bottom line and can speak the language of both developers and business executives.
- External Influence: Experience in a partner-facing role, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate technical/functional scope with external organizations.
- Technical API Mastery: Deep familiarity with REST APIs, Webhooks, and authentication protocols. You can evaluate a partner's documentation and quickly determine if it meets Remote’s standards for security and scale.
- Strong UX Sensibilities: A passion for creating “low-friction” experiences. You believe that even the most complex technical integration should feel simple to the end user.
- Domain Expertise: Advantage if you have experience with global HR/Payroll tools (e.g., Workday, HiBob, Greenhouse, Netsuite).
